We welcomed LiNK's NE Nomads to UMD on March 6th! We had a intimate discussion on the humanitarian issue in North Korea today, and also the Save My Friend Petition. The Save My Friend Campaign was aimed to protest the repatriation of a group of North Korean refugees that were attained by the Chinese government. Though the issue was very low-key in the news, LiNK at UMD was determined to make the cause known on campus. The Nomads really inspired the UMD chapter to continue fundraising in order to reach our goal of $25,000!
